So my blog is probably not terribly exciting since I only seem to post every 7 months.

After a long difficult winter I am starting to feel more like myself again. I am 16 weeks pregnant this week and slowly becoming more optimistic about our new baby. So much of my pregnancy has been filled with fear so far. It is nice to finally be able to start planning, hoping, and dreaming. Spring is finally here. The sun is shining. I will be turning 33 soon. Not sure how that ever happened! I have signed up for a photraphy workshop here. http://www.503photography.com/#/503-workshop/

I am so very excited to learn how to use my new camera to its fullest potential. I am having a great time spending an extra day off every week with Mad, although I haven't been very productive yet!

I LOVE Anthropologie. anthropologie.com I wish we had a shop reasonably close. This table and chairs would be perfect in the dining room. They are completely modern yet old fashioned at the same time. Not to mention my two favorite colors.

Harvest Festival

So, as much as I hate fall, we had an amazing time at the Harvest Festival at Goodell Gardens this weekend. http://goodellgardens.org/ The weather was perfect and the kids loved every minute of it. They painted pumpkins, went for a goat ride with Goliath, got to see how wool is spun, and tried pure maple syrup and honey. I of course was loving the quilt display and crafts for sale. The gardens around the farm are just amazing. Madeline made friends with a caterpillar on her shoe! We brought home the most beautiful lemon yellow mums to plant in the yard. All of this of course left me yearning to be home all the time growing our food, making our clothes and blankets, and hanging our laundry in the sun to dry. So I go forward trying to embrace fall and its beauty, be positive and enjoy the last few weeks of sunshine. I also know I can't just walk away from my job so, I will try to work a little handmade and old fashioned into each day. Steal a moment to knit a row here and there, read books outside when possible. Show the kids how amazing life is outside the four walls of our home.

I am getting that funny feeling. That depressing leaves are changing and the sky looks different feeling. Why does summer have to end? Why can't we have more beautiful days to spend together running around with sticks and getting dirty? Yeah, and why is it that I have to miss the majority of summer because I'm stuck indoors at work? NOT FAIR! I am not ready for fall. No more eating outside on the deck, no more tomatoes from the garden, no more tan lines on tiny little bums. I do have this picture though, to remind me of what lies ahead for next year.

So, the wedding is coming up quickly. Two months to go. Things finally seem to be coming together. I need to assemble the invitations. Find out about chair rentals. Find that frosting recipe!! Really, I just can't wait to be married. The party is a nice bonus to add on. Here's my dress.

These are my shoes. They are black with a wedge heel that doesn't poke into the grass and polka dots to match the girls' dresses.

I am hoping for cupcake results similar to this. Experimenting with another recipe today. Wish me luck.

I am also loving these.

And of course I'm loving him.

Such a beautiful day yesterday. Spent some quality time snuggling with my honey. Had a nap. We had amazing weather. Looks as though spring might finally be here to stay. It feels so good to feel the sun on my skin and smell the fresh warm air. Time to open the windows and begin spring cleaning and start all those outdoor projects I've been planning all winter. Too bad I have to go to work today.
